São Paulo governor signs decree forcing state servants to prove vaccination

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - São Paulo governor João Doria on Monday, January 3, signed a decree requiring all public servants in the state to provide proof of full vaccination against Covid-19. The measure will be published in this Tuesday's edition of the State Gazette.

The decree must be met by next Sunday, January 9, and covers about 570,000 professionals in direct and indirect administration bodies in São Paulo. Proof of vaccination will not be demanded should the servant present a medical certificate confirming some contraindication related to the vaccine.
