Economy Minister: Brazil must exploit its oil before it becomes obsolete

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL –  The Minister said oil wealth must be exploited “before these resources become obsolete in 10, 20 years,” with the world’s energy matrix shifting in another direction, he said at an event promoted by a trade association.

Guedes further said that the wealthiest countries are prioritizing taxation on pollution, but that it is also necessary to look at which best preserves the environment, arguing that Brazil, India and Indonesia should be paid for this.
