RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – A 16-year-old teenager and a 20-year-old woman died yesterday, December 25th, in an accident involving a motorcycle and a car in Realengo, on the western side of Rio de Janeiro.
According to the Fire Department, the vehicles crashed around 5 AM.
No information was provided as to whether the victims were on the motorcycle or in the car.
The accident also left six injured. They were rushed to the Albert Schweitzer Municipal Hospital in Realengo. The hospital reports that two have been discharged, two are stable and the other two are in critical condition.
The collision occurred at Estrada da Água Branca, corner of Rua Nilópolis.
After the collision with the motorcycle, the car hit a bus stop and the gate of a house, which were destroyed.
