Peru: Non-traditional agricultural exports generate US$2 billion in the first quarter of 2022

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Peruvian non-traditional agro-exports reached a value of US$2.017 billion dollars in the first quarter of 2022, an increase of 17.1% compared to the same period in 2021 and 31.8% compared to the amount registered in the similar period of 2020, according to figures from the National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat).

According to data from the entity and revealed by the Peruvian Foreign Trade Society (Comex Peru), the United States became the main destination for non-traditional shipments, with exports of US$702 million and year-on-year . . .
