Upcoming events in São Paulo expected to attract 6.5 million visitors in second half of year

São Paulo’s calendar for the latter half of the year features a range of events set to attract around 6.5 million participants, as per the city’s tourism entity, São Paulo Turismo (SPTuris).

Spanning over 202 key events held in 30 venues, this estimation encompasses local and visiting attendees.

The events are varied, with concerts slated at popular venues like Allianz Parque featuring renowned artists such as Shakira, Taylor Swift, and Rod Stewart, to exhibitions at established fair centers including Distrito Anhembi and Expo São Paulo.

São Paulo’s Mice segment (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) is particularly robust, with 126 events scheduled.

Additionally, 59 festivals, concerts, and nine sporting events such as Formula 1 and the São Silvestre Race form part of this roster.

São Paulo Fashion Week and the Heritage Journey are also key highlights in the “other” category.

SPTuris suggests these projections will assist the receptive tourism market and event organizers in their planning.

The impact is anticipated to significantly contribute to job creation in the tourism and events sector.
