Peru: constitutional complaint against former PM Betssy Chávez approved

The Peruvian Congress has approved this Wednesday a constitutional complaint against former Prime Minister Betssy Chávez for the alleged crimes of rebellion and conspiracy.

The plenary of the Congress has decided, with 66 votes in favor and 11 against, to suspend the also congresswoman "while the criminal process lasts", as reported by the Lower House.
