Paraguay: broad opposition coalition formed to face the ruling party in 2023

The opposition took a pivotal step to go united in the 2023 elections. It will seek to unseat the hegemonic Colorado Party, which has governed for the last 70 years, except for the 2008-2012 period.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The opposition's political parties and social organizations took a fundamental step towards the elections to be held in April 2023 by signing a document that commits them to carry on their ballots a single ticket for president and vice-president.

The parties signed a Concertación, a legal figure enabled by the electoral law, and will decide later on how they will define the binomial to face the Asociación Nacional . . .
