RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Festival Virada Salvador, an all-night party promoted by the mayoralty that celebrates New Year’s Eve, will not happen for the second consecutive year. The confirmation was made this Monday (29) by Mayor Bruno Reis.
According to the city manager, despite the drop in the number of deaths, there is still uncertainty about the pandemic scenario in the city.
Bruno Reis affirms that this is the only party that depended on an exclusive positioning since the Festival was organized by the City administration. On Twitter, he highlighted the arrival of the Omicron variant as a decisive factor for the cancellation.
