Lula da Silva announces Fernando Haddad as new Brazilian Finance Minister

President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT, progressive-globalist) announced on Friday morning (Dec. 9) the first chosen to lead ministries in his new term as head of the Executive.

The announcement occurred at the CCBB, headquarters of the government transition, before the quarterfinal match between Brazil and Croatia at the World Cup in Qatar.

Fernando Haddad will take on the Ministry of Finance, Rui Costa was confirmed at the Civil House, Flávio Dino at Justice, José Múcio Monteiro at Defense, and Mauro Vieira at Foreign Relations . . .
