Brazil’s Santa Catarina state recorded -6.4 degrees Celsius, a record low temperature

The town of Bom Jardim da Serra registered this Friday morning, August 19, -6.4 degrees Celsius, the lowest temperature in southern Brazil so far this year.

The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) reported that the thermometers fell to -6.4 degrees in Jardim da Serra, a municipality located in the mountainous region of the state of Santa Catarina.
