Brazil inflation accelerates in the 7 capitals surveyed by FGV at the end of March

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The acceleration of inflation, measured by the weekly consumer price index (IPC-S), to 1.35% at the end of March, from 0.94% in the third week of the month, was confirmed in the seven capitals surveyed, the Brazilian Economic Institute of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV Ibre) said in a report.

The cities where FGV collects - and where there was a higher increase in prices, a turn to inflation, or a smaller decrease compared to the immediately previous measurement - are Salvador (0.85% to 1.29%), Brasília (0.64% to 1.28%), Belo . . .
