Brazil creates 253,083 formal jobs in October – Caged

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil opened a net 253,083 formal jobs in October, a drop of 30.9% over the performance recorded in the same month of 2020, according to the General Cadastre for Employed and Unemployed (Caged) released on Tuesday by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

In October last year, the creation had been 366,295 jobs, according to the adjusted Caged series. The result was also below the net creation of 270,000 jobs projected by analysts in a Reuters poll.
