Barão Vermelho Encontro Tour Reaches Belo Horizonte, Brazil, September 26–27 — Both Nights Sold Out

Both Belo Horizonte nights of the Barão Vermelho Encontro tour are gone. The band’s surviving original members play Arena Hall on 26 and 27 September.

Tickets for Barão Vermelho’s first Belo Horizonte night sold out within days of the August on-sale. Organisers added a second show, and the Barão Vermelho Encontro tour sold that one out too.

Two nights that were gone before September

The 26 September show went first, days after tickets appeared in August. Organisers answered by opening Sunday 27 September.

That second night has gone as well. Sou BH reported on 11 September that both Belo Horizonte dates were fully sold out.

Eventim still shows event pages for both shows, and that catches buyers out. A live listing page is not the same as tickets in stock.

Organisers have not said whether returned tickets will come back on sale. They have confirmed no city after Belo Horizonte either.

Resellers and street sellers will still offer you seats. Brazilian arenas scan barcodes at the door, so a copied ticket simply fails there.

Face values ran from R$255 (about US$50) for the cheapest seated tier to R$395 (about US$77) for front stage. Currency conversions use the 13 September 2026 rate of 5.11 reais to the US dollar, published by er-api.com.

Why a room in Savassi sings every word

Barão Vermelho formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1981. They became one of the defining acts of Brazil’s 1980s rock boom.

Their first singer was Cazuza, a lyricist Brazilians still quote from memory. He left the band in 1985 and died in 1990, aged 32.

His writing mixed tenderness, defiance and dark humour. Songs such as “Bete Balanço” and “Pro Dia Nascer Feliz” are standards here, not deep cuts.

The band kept going after Cazuza, and Frejat wrote a second run of hits. The catalogue reaches well beyond the first two records.

Who walks on stage, and who cannot

The reunion puts Roberto Frejat on guitar and vocals, Guto Goffi on drums, Maurício Barros on keyboards and Dé Palmeira on bass. That is the surviving core of the early lineup.

Frejat sings lead now. He took the microphone after Cazuza left and has fronted these songs ever since.

Guitarist Fernando Magalhães joins as a guest. He arrived in 1985, so the billing reads as near-original rather than exact.

Cazuza cannot be replaced, and the band does not pretend otherwise. Keyboardist Maurício Barros said his lyrics and songs would represent him well on stage.

Rolling Stone Brasil published the 31-song opening setlist. It mixed band hits like “Todo Amor Que Houver Nessa Vida” with Cazuza solo songs like “Codinome Beija-Flor”.

The room, the door and the hour

Arena Hall stands at Avenida Nossa Senhora do Carmo 230, in the central Savassi district. Some listings call it BeFly Hall, its newer commercial name.

It is a covered arena rather than a club, with seated tiers and a standing front area. Expect airport-style bag checks at the gates.

Sou BH reported on 11 September that both nights begin at 9 p.m. Earlier listings gave an earlier start, so trust the time printed on your ticket.

Eventim is the official seller, online and at its shop in Shopping 5ª Avenida. That shop is the only box office in the city.

The same arena hosts 5 Seconds of Summer on 20 September. It is a busy month for the room.

What is left if you missed the sale

No other city is on sale right now. The Barão Vermelho Encontro tour began in Rio de Janeiro on 30 April 2026.

It has since passed through São Paulo, Porto Alegre, São José in Santa Catarina, Campinas, Ribeirão Preto, Curitiba and Juiz de Fora. Those dates have all been played.

Belo Horizonte is the last stop on the published schedule. Nothing stands after 27 September.

The band has added dates more than once, so a further leg is possible. Eventim’s artist page costs less to watch than a resale premium costs to pay.

When a new city appears, presales usually open first for Itaú cardholders. General sale follows a day or two later, and the cheap tiers go fast.

The night itself, in any language

You do not need Portuguese to enjoy this. The songs run on plain, loud rock choruses that the room carries for you.

Learn two of them beforehand and you will feel part of it. “Pro Dia Nascer Feliz” and “Bete Balanço” are the easiest way in.

Reviews of the Rio de Janeiro opening described a show of more than two hours. Plan your ride home for well after midnight.

Arena Hall is indoors, so weather is not a worry. September nights in Belo Horizonte are mild, and a light jacket is enough.

Savassi itself is worth arriving early for. The streets around the venue are full of bars and small restaurants that stay open late.
