Telefônica Brasil’s Robust Q2 Performance: Insights into Strategic Growth

Telefônica Brasil, known as Vivo (VIVT3), disclosed a notable net profit of R$1.2 billion ($212 million) for Q2 2024.

This represents an 8.9% increase from the previous year, highlighting continuous service expansion.

The company’s adjusted EBITDA reached R$5.5 billion ($973 million), showing a 7.3% year-over-year growth. Stability is evident as the EBITDA margin remained at 39.9%.

Meanwhile, financial expenses saw a year-on-year decrease, leading to a net financial outcome of R$351 million ($62 million), down 27.6%.

This improvement benefited from reversed provisions and currency updates. Net debt was reported at R$11.3 billion ($2 billion) at quarter’s end.
