Santiago gets the first date on the published schedule of Slash’s 2027 world tour, three weeks before the band’s first US show.

Slash, the lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses, plays Teatro Caupolicán in Santiago, Chile, on Friday, 2 April 2027. The Slash Santiago concert is the first date on the published schedule of the band’s Flying Blind World Tour 2027.

Puntoticket, the official seller, opens general sale on Friday, 9 October, at 10 a.m. Santiago time. Tickets cost CLP 59,000 to CLP 100,000 (about US$60 to US$102), including fees.

Who Is Playing and Why It Matters

Slash is the Grammy-winning American guitarist behind the riffs of Sweet Child O’ Mine and Welcome to the Jungle. His official biography credits him with more than 100 million albums sold and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.

In Santiago he plays with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, a band that grew out of his 2010 solo album. Kennedy, also a member of the band Alter Bridge, sings lead vocals.

Todd Kerns on bass, Brent Fitz on drums and Frank Sidoris on rhythm guitar complete the line-up. The band is also known as SMKC.

The tour promotes Flying Blind, the band’s fifth studio album, due on Friday, 26 February 2027, through Gibson Records. The band announced the album and the world tour on Friday, 2 October, and released the title track that day.

After Santiago, the Latin American leg visits Mendoza, Córdoba and Buenos Aires in Argentina, then four cities in Brazil. It ends in São Paulo on Wednesday, 14 April 2027, according to the dates published with the announcement.

The North American leg opens in Reno, Nevada, on Friday, 23 April 2027. Later stops include the Wiltern in Los Angeles, New York’s Beacon Theatre on 12 May and Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on 17 May.

Radio Futuro, a Santiago rock station, presented the show as Slash’s return to Chile. It said fans could expect to hear songs from the new album live.

Tickets and Prices for the Slash Santiago Concert

Puntoticket, a Chilean ticketing site, is the only seller named for the show, which is produced by the Chilean company Comercial Coliseo. Buy at puntoticket.com, because tickets offered elsewhere do not come from the official seller.

An artist presale opened on Wednesday, 7 October, and Puntoticket marked it sold out by Thursday morning. A Spotify presale was due to open at noon on Thursday, 8 October.

General sale starts on Friday, 9 October, at 10 a.m. in Santiago, which is 9 a.m. in New York. Presale buyers could take up to eight tickets per transaction.

Cancha, the standing floor, and Platea, the tiered seating around it, both cost CLP 59,000 (about US$60) in the general sale. That total includes a service charge of CLP 7,696 (about US$8), which is 15% of the ticket price.

Seats in boxes B to E cost CLP 100,000 (about US$102), fees included. Wheelchair places in Box B cost CLP 54,000 (about US$55), the same as presale Cancha and Platea tickets.

Conversions use the Central Bank of Chile’s observed dollar rate for 8 October 2026, CLP 979.85 per US dollar. Your card issuer’s rate and any foreign transaction fee may change the final charge.

The Venue and How to Get There

Teatro Caupolicán stands at San Diego 850, between Copiapó and Coquimbo streets, in the Santiago Centro district. The venue says it holds up to 7,000 people and has 4,500 seats.

Its history began in 1936, and the venue lists Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and Bill Haley among the stars it has hosted. After a 1984 bankruptcy it passed to the Colo-Colo sports club, then reopened under its old name in late 2005.

The venue recommends Parque Almagro station on Metro Line 3, then a walk of about eight minutes south along San Diego. Its other suggestion is bus 301 to Nataniel Cox and Copiapó, then two blocks on foot.

The theatre has no parking of its own, though there are car parks nearby. It usually opens its doors two hours before a show starts, but advises checking its social media for each event.

Bottles of any kind, cameras, outside food and drink, and drugs are not allowed inside, the venue says. Puntoticket says everyone who enters needs a ticket.

Entry Rules for US Citizens

US citizens need no visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days, according to the State Department. Your passport must be valid for the whole stay and have one blank page for each entry stamp.

On arrival you receive a tourist card valid for up to 90 days, which you return when you leave. Tourists must be able to show at least US$46 a day to cover their expenses.

An extension of another 90 days costs US$100 at Chile’s immigration office. The State Department page lists no electronic travel authorisation for US tourists.

Safety and Getting Home

The State Department rates Chile Level 2, Exercise Increased Caution, because of crime and civil unrest. Its advisory, dated 16 January 2025, says street crime such as muggings, pickpocketing and theft is common.

Thieves work on the Santiago Metro, in taxis and in crowded tourist areas, the department warns. It names Cerro Santa Lucía, Mercado Central, Plaza de Armas, Bellavista and Barrio Meiggs as hotspots.

Large demonstrations take place periodically in Santiago, sometimes with little notice, and can disrupt buses and the Metro. The department advises avoiding them and following local authorities’ instructions.

The Metro runs from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays, so a 9 p.m. show may end near closing time. Plan your ride back before the encore.

The State Department advises regulated taxis with orange or yellow plates, or legal ride-hailing apps. It warns against unmetered cabs and unauthorised drivers outside airports.

Buses and the Metro take a prepaid Bip! card. On weekdays after 8:45 p.m., a Metro ride costs CLP 735 (about US$0.75), Metro de Santiago says.

The US Embassy is at Avenida Andrés Bello 2800 in Las Condes, on +56-2-2330-3000. That number also handles emergencies outside office hours.

What It Means for You

For US fans, the Slash Santiago concert is the earliest chance on the published schedule to hear Flying Blind live. Standard tickets start at about US$60 with fees, but the artist presale sold out by the next morning.

On current clock rules, 9 p.m. in Santiago that night is 8 p.m. in New York. Chile usually turns its clocks back an hour on the first weekend of April, so check flight times.

If you fly in, Buenos Aires follows on Wednesday, 7 April 2027, making a two-country trip possible. Check each country’s entry rules separately before you book.

What Is Not Known

Puntoticket lists no doors time, opening act or age limit for the show. The set list has not been published.

The band’s own announcement says the Latin American run launches in March, but no March date appears on the published list. Whether a second Santiago night will be added is not known.

Metro hours and fares, and Chile’s clock-change rules, could change before April 2027.

What Comes Next

General sale opens at 10 a.m. on Friday, 9 October. Flying Blind is released on Friday, 26 February 2027, five weeks before the Santiago show.

If the general sale sells out, watch Puntoticket and the band’s own channels for any added date. A sold-out show would not make tickets from unofficial resellers safe to buy.
