PARTY:
Última Festa da Democracia @ Teatro Odisséia (Lapa) – This party for democracy will have many treats and surprises in store, including two dancefloors, with the first dancefloor playing pop, funk and hits, and the second dancefloor playing rock, indie and emo.
There will also be free pizza distributed throughout the club and free drink tokens hidden around the party. With a tongue-in-cheek reference to the election. Also being distributed will be ‘gay kits’ and those famous phallic straws that made the fake news headlines, as well as lots of free shots and many more treats.
Tickets are between R$10 – R$20 and the party starts at 11PM.

AllBrazz @ Jazz da Glória (Glória) – Every Friday is Jazz da Glória. Outdoors at the Maya Café and in the midst of stunning architecture, Jazz da Glória takes place from 5PM-10PM at Ladeira da Glória 26, in the charming Villa Aymoré.
The event will begin with a carefully selected jazz playlist followed by the first set with the Allbrazz Quartet featuring re-readings of jazz and Brazilian classics. In the second set an authentic jam session will take place among all the musicians present.
This is a free event but the organizers depend on the custom of the Maya Café and a contribution to the musicians’ hat. This event is also baby friendly, pet friendly, and bike friendly.

Deep In Rio @ Mirante do Arvrão (Vidigal) – Deep in Rio is an electronic music party that brings together great DJs and projects from the Carioca and national scene.
This time the party takes place up Morro do Vidigal in the famous Hostel Mirante do Arvrão, designed by the architect Hélio Pelegrino: an incredible location with a jaw-dropping view of the city.
Tickets are between R$15-R$30 and the party starts at 10PM.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5PM and finishes at 8PM.

Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Blue Agave Ipanema is always a great place for Mexican food, drinks and for watching live sport streams and broadcasts. Just around the corner from Posto 9, the bar is also known for its mostly English-speaking staff and crowd which frequents the establishment.
