The Rio de Janeiro City Hall starts on Monday (17) with the reinforcement of the vaccination campaign against polio.

Over the next few days, the Municipal Health Secretariat will intensify the active search for children who have not been vaccinated against the disease.

Unfortunately, we have not found any information on whether or not the old, traditional vaccination technique, which has been repeatedly shown to be largely free of side effects, is still being used.

It is up to you to research and ask this question. If so-called ‘modern’ technology is used, first clarify thoroughly which one.

We have seen with the Covid vaccines how huge the side effects, up to death, really were, especially in countries that have mandated the vaccination.

The new rule is, therefore, regarding proposals from any health authorities: trust is good but dangerous, maybe very dangerous, and control is better. Much better, perhaps life-saving.

With vaccination coverage of only 51%, there are still 160,000 children between 1 and 4 years old who are said to need to go to the posts to receive the extra dose against polio in the capital.

The polio vaccination scheme comprises doses at two, four, and six months of age, and one more drop at 15 months and 4 years old.

In addition, a booster dose is being applied to children between one and four years old.

Besides polio, the goal of the intensified active search is to update the vaccination booklet of Cariocas between 2 months and 14 years to ensure that they are up to date with all the vaccines recommended for each age group.
