What the Philou Night Is and Why It Matters

Otayo, the official ticket seller, lists the night as H.O.T presents 12/12 featuring Philou, a clubbing event called Journey to the Ruins. It promises more than six hours of music from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Otayo describes Philou as a Parisian DJ and producer who plays house, acid house and indie dance after years in Brazil. The listing says she has released on Yes Yes Yes and Around Midnight, and has played Tomorrowland Winter, KOKO in London and Sisyphos in Berlin.

Three local acts play beside her: Arthur BGS, David Jay with Julien Monasie, and Vanessa B. The order of the sets is not published. For a visitor, the appeal is the setting as much as the headliner, since Philou Mauritius is held at The Ruins. The organiser promises an L-Acoustics sound system, lighting, themed bars, chill-out areas and food on site.

In Plain English

H.O.T is the name of the party promoter that presents the night. Otayo gives no further details about the company, so we cannot say who runs it.

Mauritius is an island republic in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar. Its currency is the Mauritian rupee, written Rs, and Otayo sells tickets in rupees only.

Date, Time and US Schedule

The Philou Mauritius party runs on Saturday 12 December 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on the island. Otayo warns that the end time could change.

Mauritius is on UTC+4 all year and does not use daylight saving time. In December it is nine hours ahead of New York, so 5:00 p.m. on the island is 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

Last entry is at 8:00 p.m. Mauritius time, which is 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time the same day. Otayo advises guests to arrive early, and it does not publish a door-opening time.

No live stream is announced. Anyone in the United States who wants to hear Philou that night has to be on the island.

Philou Tickets and Prices

Otayo sells two ticket types for the Philou Mauritius night. A Regular ticket costs 1,300 rupees (about US$27 at 47.64 rupees per dollar on 31 October 2026) and gives access to the event.

A VIP Backstage ticket for Philou Mauritius costs 2,000 rupees (about US$42) and gives VIP access. The listing does not say what the VIP area includes, so ask Otayo before you pay the extra.

The prices on the page are called Super Early Bird offers, and Otayo says they were ending within days of our reading. Tickets will cost more at the door, and capacity is limited.

Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable, and the management can refuse entry. Buy only on otayo.com, because offers from strangers on social media can be fake.

Otayo does not mention a booking fee, so the checkout total is not confirmed. A US card payment will be converted by your bank, so check your foreign-transaction fee first.

The Venue: The Ruins at Mon Rocher

The listing places the Philou Mauritius event at The Ruins, Mon Rocher, in Beau Plan. Beau Plan lies in the Pamplemousses district in the north of Mauritius.

Otayo gives no street address, parking information or shuttle for the night. Public transport at a 1:00 a.m. finish is not published, so arrange a driver before you go.

Otayo does not say whether the space is covered, so check the forecast from the Mauritius Meteorological Services in the days before. December falls in the southern summer, which brings heat, sudden rain and the cyclone season.

Outside food and drink are not allowed, but food and drinks can be ordered on site. Security checks take place at the entrance, and by entering you agree to be photographed or filmed, with the images possibly shared on social media.

Getting There and Staying Safe

Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is on the southeast side of the island, and the venue is in the north. We did not check the drive time or taxi fares, so ask your hotel for a price before you book.

Many Philou Mauritius guests will stay at Grand Baie, the main resort town of the north, and take a taxi to the venue. Fix the return ride before the party, because a night finish at 1:00 a.m. leaves few options.

The US State Department advises normal precautions in Mauritius. Keep your passport in your hotel safe and carry a copy and one card.

Drink only from sealed or bartender-served glasses at any club night. Do not drive after drinking, because Mauritius drives on the left.

Entry Rules for US Visitors

The US State Department says US citizens need no visa for Mauritius, and the passport is stamped on arrival for up to 60 days. You need proof of onward or return travel and at least one blank passport page.

Mauritius’s Passport and Immigration Office lists the United States as “No visa required” in its country-wise visa table. Rules can change, so check that office before you fly.

The State Department asks for a yellow fever vaccination card if you arrive from a country where the disease is present. Check both government pages again before you fly.

Who This Night Suits

The Philou Mauritius night suits adult travellers who like house music and want a club evening that is not tied to a hotel. It does not suit families, because guests must be 21 or older.

The party is long, with a 5:00 p.m. start and a 1:00 a.m. end. Plan to rest in the afternoon, since the music runs for eight hours and last entry is at 8:00 p.m.

What Is Not Confirmed Yet

The listing does not describe who runs H.O.T, and we found no second listing from Philou’s team confirming the Mauritius date. The set times, the door-opening time, the dress code and parking are not published.

Philou’s career details are the seller’s description, and we did not confirm them elsewhere. Prices are those shown on Saturday 31 October 2026, and they will rise after the early-bird offer ends.
