Mexico’s new coach has a rough start to repair, and two matches against Jamaica will show whether he can. The tie is a two-leg quarter-final in the Concacaf Nations League, the regional tournament of North America, Central America and the Caribbean, and it is covered in our Mexico vs Jamaica live hub.
Concacaf, the confederation that runs the competition, has confirmed both kick-off times. The first leg is in Kingston, Jamaica, and the return is in Monterrey, northern Mexico.
When and Where to Watch
The first leg is on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the National Stadium in Kingston, with kick-off at 8 p.m. ET, which is also 8 p.m. local time. It is 7 p.m. in Mexico City.
The return leg is on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Estadio BBVA in Monterrey. Kick-off is 9:30 p.m. ET, or 8:30 p.m. Mexico City time, and Concacaf lists the venue as Estadio Monterrey.
What the Winner Gets
The team with the better combined score over the two matches advances to the Final Four, the semi-finals and final of the tournament. Those are played on March 25-28, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The four quarter-final winners also qualify for the 2027 Gold Cup, the main regional championship. The losers drop into a qualifying round for that tournament.
If the tie is level on aggregate, Concacaf’s rules go to away goals first. After that come extra time and a penalty shoot-out.
A Coach Under Pressure
Rafael Márquez, who took over this year, is coaching his first official competition. His team opened with 1-1 draws against Colombia and Peru, then lost 3-0 to the United States and 2-0 to Chile.
Mexico is still the defending Nations League champion, having beaten Panama 2-1 in the March 2025 final under his predecessor Javier Aguirre.
Several players are in doubt. Forward Raúl Jiménez had knee surgery and is expected to be out until about January 2027, which leaves a gap in attack.
Márquez had not published his squad list as of Nov. 3, and the date of the announcement is not known. Jamaica’s squad has not been named either.
What It Means for US Readers
The return leg falls on a weeknight evening on the East Coast, and the first leg is a Saturday-night kick-off. No US television channel or streaming service has been confirmed for either match.
The United States plays its own quarter-final against Haiti. That tie is on Nov. 14 at 4:30 p.m. ET in Miami and on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. ET in Cincinnati, so US fans can follow both ties on the same days.
What Is Not Known
We do not know who Márquez will call up, or whether Jiménez’s absence changes his plan. We also do not know who will broadcast the games in the United States.
We found no active prediction market on this tie, so there is no market price to show. Our hub will carry the squad lists once they are official.
