U2 return to Mexico City in February 2027 with two stadium nights. Fan sign-up for the first Ticketmaster presale closes on Sunday, 18 October.

U2 will play two nights at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, on Tuesday, 23 February 2027 and Friday, 26 February 2027. The Irish rock band announced the dates on Thursday, 15 October as stops on its Greatest Show On Earth World Tour.

For US readers this is the nearest announced stop, because the band has not yet named any dates in the United States. Sign-up for the first Ticketmaster presale closes on Sunday, 18 October at 11:59 p.m. ET, the day after this guide.

Why This Tour Matters to US Fans

U2 are Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr., an Irish band with a large US following. Crónica, a Mexico City daily, ties the new tour to the band’s 50th anniversary.

The official announcement on U2.com names six dates in three cities, all in stadiums. Mexico City comes first, followed by São Paulo on 10 and 12 March and Buenos Aires on 23 and 25 March.

The Irish Examiner notes that the band says dates for Europe and North America will follow in the coming weeks. That makes Mexico City the closest confirmed stop for US fans so far.

Beck, the American singer-songwriter, is listed as support for all six shows on U2.com. His set time has not been announced, so plan to be in your seat early.

Dates, Venue and Schedule

U2.com and the Irish Examiner list the Mexico City nights as Tuesday, 23 February 2027 and Friday, 26 February 2027. No start times, doors times or running times had been published by Saturday, 17 October.

Mexico City uses Central Standard Time all year, because Mexico ended daylight saving time in 2022. In February that is one hour behind US Eastern time, so a 9 p.m. show would be 10 p.m. ET.

The shows are at Estadio GNP Seguros in the Iztacalco borough, on the east side of the city. The stadium was called Foro Sol until a sponsorship change.

According to Quién, U2 last played a full tour date in Mexico in October 2017, at the same stadium. The Mexican magazine describes the new dates as a return after almost ten years.

Tickets and Sale Dates

The sales ladder is long, and each step opens at 10 a.m. Mexico City time. Mexico City is two hours behind US Eastern time until Sunday, 1 November, so each October sale starts at noon ET.

The first step is the U2.com subscriber presale, with the Feedback Group going first on Monday, 19 October. The Hype Group follows on Tuesday, 20 October, and both U2.com presales close at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, 21 October.

Subscribers receive a unique code by email before their presale, according to U2.com. New subscribers join The Hype Group and get access on the second day.

U2.com lists annual subscriptions at US$60 for Standard and US$85 for Premium, and ADN40 gives the same prices. Memberships are optional, and the band has not said they guarantee tickets.

The Ticketmaster artist presale for Mexico City is on Thursday, 22 October at 10 a.m., which is noon ET. U2.com says sign-up closes on Sunday, 18 October at 11:59 p.m. ET.

N+, a Mexican news site, says the Ticketmaster México sign-up is tied to your account, so no code is needed. It advises joining the online waiting room about 30 minutes early and expecting a reminder email the day before.

General sale for Mexico City opens on Friday, 23 October at 10 a.m., which is noon ET, according to U2.com. Crónica says the general sale runs through Ticketmaster and the stadium box offices.

Banamex, one of Mexico’s largest banks, runs its own cardholder presale on Wednesday, 21 October, according to ADN40 and Crónica. That presale is meant for Banamex customers.

Buy only from official channels, meaning U2.com links, Ticketmaster México and the stadium box offices. Tickets from street sellers or social media accounts can be fake.

Getting to Estadio GNP Seguros

Most visitors will fly into Mexico City and take the Metro, a taxi or an app ride to Iztacalco. Check airline schedules from your home airport once you hold tickets.

The Metro is the most reliable option on show nights, according to Chilango, a Mexico City culture site. Line 9 station Ciudad Deportiva is the closest, with Puebla slightly farther, and Pantitlán connects four lines.

Chilango puts the walk from Ciudad Deportiva at about 10 minutes, and 15 to 30 minutes from your seat. It says the Metro closes at midnight, so check the last train time before the show.

Chilango warns that driving is slow, with heavy traffic from about 6 p.m. and trips of up to two hours afterwards. Parking is sold through Ticketmaster and is usually cash only at the gate.

Chilango listed parking at MXN 550 (about US$30) bought in advance or MXN 350 (about US$19) on arrival. Ride-hail prices rise sharply after concerts, so agree a pickup point away from the stadium.

Los40, a Mexican radio site, says Ticketmaster ran Ticket2Ride shuttles from the stadium lot at MXN 350 (about US$19) per person. Those shuttles served other concerts, and no shuttle has been announced for U2.

Safety and Costs for Visitors

The US State Department rates Mexico Level 2, Exercise Increased Caution, in a 29 May 2026 update, Fox local stations report. The State Department page itself could not be opened on 17 October, so check travel.state.gov before you book.

The Fox report cites terrorism, crime and kidnapping as the reasons. It does not single out Mexico City, so look for city-level guidance on the State Department site.

US citizens need a valid passport book to fly to Mexico. Check entry rules and the permitted length of stay on the State Department country page before you go.

Stay with a group after the show and plan your route home before the final song. The Metro and official shuttles are safer bets than hailing a car in a large stadium crowd.

Costs are modest by US stadium standards for everything except the ticket, whose price is unknown. Conversions in this guide use the open.er-api.com rate of 17 October, about MXN 18.5 to the dollar.

The stadium’s bag rules are strict, based on the My Chemical Romance guide from Los40 for earlier shows. Small bags up to 30 by 30 cm were allowed, and food, drinks and professional cameras were not.

What It Means for You

If you want to see U2 close to home, register for the Ticketmaster presale before 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, 18 October. Decide whether to buy a U2.com membership before the Monday presale, or wait for the general sale.

Fans can book flights only after buying tickets, because prices and seat maps are not yet public. Build in a hotel near a Line 9 Metro stop, and keep your passport book in your carry-on.

Anyone holding out for a US date should know none is confirmed. The band says more dates for North America and Europe will come in the weeks ahead.

What Is Not Known

Ticket prices, the seat map, ticket limits and stadium capacity for these shows have not been announced. Show start times, doors times and Beck’s set time are also unpublished.

U2.com does not name the seller for the general sale, saying only that links will appear on the band’s site. Mexican outlets name Ticketmaster México, but the promoter’s own statement, expected from OCESA, was not found on its website on 17 October.

Récord lists the general sale for Thursday, 22 October, while U2.com says Friday, 23 October, which this guide follows. Dates for the United States and Europe, and any third Mexican show, remain open.

The State Department pages did not open on 17 October, so the Level 2 rating comes from a media report. Mexico City specific advisory wording and entry rules are therefore not confirmed here.
