Luxembourg to upgrade diplomatic representation in Cape Verde

On Tuesday, Luxembourg’s head of state, Grand Duke Henri, announced the country’s decision to raise its diplomatic presence in Cape Verde.

According to Grand Duke Henri, starting this fall, its diplomatic mission will be under the responsibility of a resident ambassador, and he emphasized the direct ties and friendship between the two states.

“In a country as multicultural as Luxembourg, coexistence is essential.”

“The Cape Verdean community understood it well, also contributing remarkably to the economic development of my country, and I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart,” said the Luxembourgian head of state during the gala dinner offered by the grand duke to the Cape Verdean entourage.

According to Lusa, Luxembourg is one of Cape Verde‘s main economic partners and donors, and chargé d’affaires ensure permanent diplomatic representation in the archipelago.
