SP’s Lollapalooza Brasil Attractions Pass Through Rio de Janeiro

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – While the fifth edition of the Lollapalooza Brasil music festival will take place in São Paulo in the Autódromo de Interlagos on Saturday, March 12th and Sunday, March 13th, seven of the festival’s main lineup attractions will make their way to Rio de Janeiro to perform live in three venues beginning March 13th.
The shows include The Joy Formidable and Of Monsters and Men at Circo Voador on March 13th; Florence +the Machine and Mumford & Sons at Metropolitan on March 14th; Alabama Shakes at Circo Voador on March 15th; and Twenty One Pilots and Walk The Moon at Sacadura 154 on March 16th.
First, Icelandic, English-language indie folk band Of Monsters and Men will perform at Rio’s Circo Voador in Lapa on Sunday, March 13th with the Welsh alternative rock band, The Joy Formidable performing to open the night.

Next, English indie rock band Florence + the Machine will return to Rio to perform at the Metropolitan in Barra da Tijuca with the British rock band Mumford & Sons playing to open the night. Florence + the Machine were last in Rio as part of the lineup of the 2013 Rock in Rio festival.

On Tuesday, March 15th, the recent Grammy-winning American blues rock band Alabama Shakes will return to Rio to perform once again at Circo Voador in Lapa. The group was last in the city at part of the 2013 Lollapalooza Side Shows lineup.

Finally, American duo Twenty One Pilots will perform at Sacadura 154 in Saúde on Thursday, March 16th with American new wave band Walk the Moon playing to open the night.
