A Spanish band reunited with its first singer heads back to Peru. Tickets for the Lima show are on sale five months ahead.

La Oreja de Van Gogh plays Costa 21 in Lima on Sunday, 14 March 2027, with original singer Amaia Montero. Teleticket, the official seller, opened a card presale on 4 and 5 August 2026.

For US fans, the show is a rare chance to hear a classic Spanish pop act in South America. Regular seats on Teleticket run from about US$48 to US$135.

Who the Band Is and Why This Show Matters

La Oreja de Van Gogh is a pop group from San Sebastián in northern Spain. RPP presented the Lima date as the return of Amaia Montero to Peru with the band.

Teleticket presents the Lima date as part of the Tantas Cosas Que Contar Tour 2026, with the original formation. The seller says the reunion celebrates 30 years of the band’s history.

RPP recalled that the band last played Lima in 2017, with singer Leire Martínez, on its El Planeta Imaginario tour. It said Montero last performed in Peru with the band in 2006, on the Tour Guapa.

Teleticket names Concerts Sports AEI10 S.A.C. as the organiser of the Lima show. Radio Oxígeno, a Lima radio station, sponsors it, RPP reported.

Tickets and Prices

Teleticket is the only official seller for the Lima show. Buyers paying with Interbank cards received up to 15% off during the August presale, capped at 10,400 tickets.

Teleticket lists the following regular prices, valid from 6 August 2026 until show day. Amounts are in Peruvian soles, converted at PEN 3.44 per US dollar, the open.er-api.com rate of 14 October 2026.

  • Tribuna General: S/165 (about US$48)
  • Preferencial, standing: S/212 (about US$62)
  • Tribuna Izquierda 2 and Derecha 2, numbered: S/330 (about US$96)

The Venue and How to Get There

Costa 21 is an open-air concert ground on the Costa Verde, the seafront highway below Lima’s coastal cliffs. It sits in San Miguel, north-west of the Miraflores and Barranco hotel districts.

Most visitors reach the venue by car along the Costa Verde, which can jam badly before and after big shows. Leave early and agree on a pickup point away from the main gates.

The State Department advises using an app-based taxi service, ordering a taxi by phone or booking through a hotel. It warns that travellers have been robbed after hailing unknown taxis on the street.

The department also says robbers have entered taxis and forced passengers to withdraw cash from cash machines. Carry only the cash you need and keep your phone out of sight on the walk out.

March is late summer in Lima, with warm, dry evenings by the ocean. A light layer helps after dark, as the sea breeze cools the open ground.

Tips for US and Foreign Visitors

US citizens do not need a tourist visa for stays of less than 90 days, the State Department says. Border officials set the approved stay on arrival, and overstays bring fines before departure.

Passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Peru. The department also asks for at least one blank page for the entry stamp.

The department rates Peru at Level 2, Exercise Increased Caution, citing crime, civil unrest and the risk of kidnapping. It says kidnapping is rare but does occur.

At Lima’s airport, authorised taxi booths charge a flat rate based on your destination, the department notes. That is a safer start than accepting a ride from someone in the arrivals hall.

Mid-March is after Peru’s peak summer holidays, so hotel prices in Lima often ease. Booking soon after buying a ticket still gives the widest choice near the coast.

What It Means for You

For a US fan of Spanish pop, the Lima show offers the reunited band at seats from about US$48. A Sunday date also suits a long weekend on the Peruvian coast.

US clocks spring forward on the morning of 14 March 2027, while Lima keeps the same time all year. An 8 p.m. start in Lima is therefore 9 p.m. US Eastern, so check times when you call home.

What Is Not Known

Door opening times for the Lima show have not been published, and the 8 p.m. start is given as possible, not fixed. Opening acts have also not been announced.

Teleticket does not show how many tickets are left in each zone. It is also not known whether a second Lima date will be added.

What Comes Next

Teleticket is expected to publish door times closer to the date, and it says re-entry will not be allowed. Ticket holders should watch their email and the seller page in the week before the show.

Any change to the date or venue would be announced through Teleticket. Buyers should keep their order confirmation until show day.
