Brazil with trade surplus of US$1.323 billion in 2nd week of September
Brazil’s trade balance registered a trade surplus of US$1.323 billion in the second week of September (5th-11th day).
According to the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) of the Ministry of Economy on Monday (12), the figure was reached with exports of US$6.214 billion and imports of US$4.891 billion.

In September, the trade balance showed a surplus of US$2.342 billion by the 11th day, with exports of US$9.572 billion and imports of US$7.230 billion.
Year-to-date, the trade balance shows a surplus of US$46.217 billion.
Exports registered a 37.4% increase in the daily average for September compared to the same period last year, with an 85.2% increase in agriculture and livestock, a 5.3% increase in extractive industries, and a 38.7% peak in sales of products of the processing industry.
On a daily average basis, imports increased 26.7%, with agriculture and livestock up 27.9%, mining up 59.8%, and processing up 25.2%.
