RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - On Thursday, April 23rd, the state of São Paulo confirmed 211 new coronavirus deaths in 24 hours - with more than eight victims of the disease per hour. This is a record number of deaths in a single day.
According to the State Health Secretariat, São Paulo has reached the mark of 1,345 fatal victims of Covid-19 - it was 1,134 on Wednesday, April 22nd.
Also according to the portfolio, there are 114 cities with at least one coronavirus victim, and 16,740 confirmed cases of the disease, spread over 256 municipalities.
