Covid-19: Carnaval 2022 is canceled in many São Paulo state countryside cities

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - At least 70 cities in the interior of the state of São Paulo have canceled Carnaval 2022, which is scheduled to take place between February 19 and March 6. Even with the majority of the population with the complete vaccination cycle against Covid-19, the cities want to avoid crowds and "not take risks" in order not to return to high contamination levels.
