Panama’s tourism sector records higher-than-expected revenues in the first half of the year

From January to June, tourism in Panama generated US$752.6 million in revenues, eight percent more than expected, thanks to the country's international promotion and marketing efforts, the Panama Tourism Promotion Fund (Promtur), responsible for this strategy, announced today.

Promtur said the initial estimate for the period was US$695.8 million and attributed the result to the performance of the new tourism brand "Panama, Vive por Más" and the high performance of marketing campaigns and promotion of the destination with key strategic allies, a statement from the fund said.
