RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - "A great victory for immunization in São Paulo," celebrated São Paulo city Health Secretary Edson Aparecido, when commenting on the fact that 100% of the adult population is fully immunized, a milestone reached on Wednesday, November 24.
In fact, according to the Secretariat, the city registered 100.03% of people over 18 years of age immunized with either the 2 doses or the single dose vaccine.
The total exceeds 100% due to an outdated number of people vaccinated. "And also because people from out of town were vaccinated," Aparecido explains.
