Protests: President of Peru deploys army and institutes a curfew

 

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Informal transporters have taken over the highways in Peru's interior as a form of protest against the increase in the price of fuel and the increase in the price of basic products of the family basket.

Amid this situation, they also demand that President Pedro Castillo fulfill his campaign promise to formalize them and pardon them from the millionaire fines for tickets.
