Peru has overtaken Chile as the most important supplier of grapes in the world

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Peru became the world's leading exporter of fresh grapes in 2021 after its shipments abroad reached US$1.26 billion, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) announced today, Wednesday.

The figure reached through shipments of this product, the main component of the South American nation's agricultural export basket, represents a growth of 22% compared to 2020, the institution said in a statement.
