Spanish Air Europa increases flights to Paraguay

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Air Europa, a subsidiary of London-based IAG, a group formed by Spanish and British flag carriers Iberia and British Airways, announced a scheduled increase in weekly non-stop flights to Paraguay starting next month.

The increase in operations between Madrid-Barajas (MAD) and Asuncion (ASU) is due to high passenger demand and will increase from 3 to 4 flights per week from November 7 and 8.

From that moment on, a new additional service will be added on Sundays from Madrid and Mondays from Asuncion, respectively, according to the reservation systems.

The operations will be carried out in the company’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft in its 800 or 900 version, eventually, with a capacity for 296 passengers divided into two classes.

Since 2015 the company belonging to the Globalia Group has been the only one that directly links the capital of Spain with Paraguay. Until the pandemic, Air Europa connected Madrid and Asuncion with continuation to Cordoba 6 times a week, but the extension was suspended due to restrictions in Argentina.
