Costa Rica: DHL cargo plane crashes and breaks in half

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - A dramatic plane crash yesterday in Costa Rica. A Boeing 757 belonging to the German company DHL was forced to make an emergency landing after hydraulic problems but broke in two.

The two pilots on board were uninjured, according to reports.

The cargo plane had taken off yesterday morning from Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) in the Costa Rican capital bound for Guatemala but had to return to its place of origin.
