Covid-19: Uruguay eases rules for the arrival of foreign travelers

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Sources of the Ministry of Health have indicated that, for vaccinated citizens, it will be sufficient to present an antigen test and no longer a PCR test.

Meanwhile, the authorities of Argentina have relaxed the criteria for access to their country, eliminating the PCR test requirement. Likewise, Brazil seems to follow this measure.

In the case of Uruguay, new protocols are being sought to favor the entry of tourists, given the 'Carnival' festivities, scheduled between February 26 and March 1.

The Uruguayan Ministry of Public Health has held meetings to progress this issue.
