The estimate of the São Paulo PSDB directory (Brazilian Social Democratic Party, center) is that 80% of the 262 party mayors in the state have declared support for the reelection of Jair Bolsonaro (PL, right).
The data comes after the current governor, Rodrigo Garcia (PSDB), came in 3rd in the race for reelection and declared "unconditional" support for the president.
As the third largest party in the National Congress, the PSDB was the main opposition party against the Workers' Party (PT, left) administrations of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff from 2003 to 2016.
