In Brazil, economic uncertainty recedes in November for 2nd consecutive month – FGV

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Brazilian Economic Uncertainty Index (IIE-BR), measured by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), dropped 2 points from October to November. This was the second consecutive drop in the indicator.

Despite the drop, the indicator, which reached 129.3 points, is 14.2 points above the level of February 2020 (115.1 points), the pre-pandemic period of Covid-19 in the country.

The drop in uncertainty was caused by the 5.8-point retreat of the media component, based on the frequency of news with mention of uncertainty in print and online media.
