Brazil: on the eve of installation, the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee of January 8 still has uncertain command

The Mixed Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPMI) of January 8 still is undefined about its formation one day before its beginning.

The name most quoted to assume as rapporteurs], Senator Eduardo Braga (MDB-AM), informed Gazeta do Povo that nothing is defined yet.

According to his advisory, there will still be a series of meetings with party leaders on the night of Wednesday, 24, to set the final position.

Representative Arthur Maia (União Brasil-BA) is already defined by consensus as the collegiate president.

The first session of the CPMI will be held early Thursday afternoon (25) in the plenary of the Federal Senate.

Initially chaired by Senator Otto Alencar (PSD-BA), the oldest member of the commission, it will have as the only item on the agenda the election of president and rapporteur.
