Brazil: Lula da Silva prepares to resume relations with Venezuela

The next Brazilian Foreign Minister, Mauro Vieira, confirmed this Wednesday that the president-elect, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, has given him instructions to "reestablish" diplomatic relations with Venezuela and strengthen ties with "traditional partners" such as China, United States and the European Union.
