RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy, Jin Hongjun, stated that Brazil and China have similar positions regarding the war in Ukraine. According to the diplomat, the two countries reject the excessive economic sanctions imposed on Russia and favor a peace agreement.
The statement was given to O Globo newspaper, published on Friday (25). In the interview, Hongjun said China has consistently opposed unilateral sanctions that are not based on international law and are not supported by the UN Security Council.
