Brazil: FlixBus starts selling tickets in Paraná and Santa Catarina states
Offer technologies that connect the entire transport chain at affordable prices. This is the objective of the German startup FlixBus, which lands this Tuesday (17) in the south of Brazil, starting to operate in the states of Paraná and Santa Catarina.
The Flix system brings together online sales tools, automated customer service and intelligence technologies for the shipper, such as marketing and pricing, using artificial intelligence and Machine Learning, with the aim of digitizing passenger transport.
Flix also carries out transport through partnerships with shippers already approved in Brazil, such as 4bus, which makes it possible to launch new routes.

“Flix has differentials in what the user sees, which are the digital channels, but mainly in what the user does not see, that is, everything that facilitates the management of the transport operator. We offer all the technology tools that do not exists in the market”, emphasizes Edson Lopes, general director of FlixBus in Brazil.
FlixBus already operates in states such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Goiás and the Federal District.
The new lines connect the two southern states, with routes departing from Curitiba (PR) to Florianópolis (SC), passing through Balneário Camboriú (SC).
The second will connect Maringá (PR) and Florianópolis (SC), passing through Londrina (PR), Curitiba (PR), Balneário Camboriú (SC), until reaching its final destination.
Tickets to the new destinations will go on sale today (17th) at promotional prices, starting at R$19.90.
“We are happy to proceed with our expansion project throughout Brazil, especially in such important markets as Paraná and Santa Catarina. Now, having 4bus as our partner, we reinforce our purpose of offering our passengers a differentiated experience when traveling, with convenience, technology and accessible prices”, emphasizes Edson Lopes.
Following the business model of the German company in Brazil, all technology and pricing tools, marketing and sales, route intelligence and continuous expansion of products will be carried out by FlixBus, while the operation, quality management and carrying out of the transport service, with all government licenses for regular passenger transport, will be under the responsibility of 4bus.
“Our goal in Brazil is to reach where we can, and to be the option of quality, access and sustainability for road transport passengers”, concludes the Director.
