American Airlines strengthens its presence in Chile, resumes Santiago-Dallas route

American Airlines resumes its flight between Dallas and Santiago de Chile, which stopped two years ago because of the pandemic.

Starting on October 29, tickets will go on sale for this service, which will be operated with a Boeing 787-8 with a capacity for 234 passengers.

This new route will join American’s 17 weekly flights to three U.S. destinations, including daily service to Miami, three flights a week to New York, and one daily flight to Dallas.

“We are excited to resume, starting in October, our route between Santiago and Dallas/Fort Worth, reaffirming our more than 30-year commitment to Chile,” said Gonzalo Schames, Director for South America and Strategic Alliances at American Airlines.

“With this route, Chilean travelers will be able to connect to our largest hub in the United States, which offers one-stop access to more than 200 destinations around the world.”

Through American’s hub at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, the airline offers access to approximately 200 destinations worldwide with more than 700 daily flights.
