55% of couples in Colombia say they do not believe in monogamy – dating app survey

Although not believing in monogamy does not necessarily mean being an unfaithful person, in a conservative society such as Colombia, it is more common for people to initiate traditional relationships and be unfaithful rather than establish within the relationship they are open to other people. This is why 63% of the women who participated in this survey acknowledged using Gleeden to be unfaithful, as they consider it safe and private.
When describing the emotions that infidelity brings, the unfaithful pointed to “joy and freedom” as the sensations caused by extramarital affairs. However, the respondents indicated that there would be no possibility of forgiveness if their partners discovered them. Finally, 64% of the 15,211 users surveyed assured that they do not plan to separate from their partner, nor have they considered it because, for them, infidelity is simply an escape from monotony.
