São Paulo’s consumer prosecutor has given the city, Ticketmaster Brasil and Live Nation Brazil 48 hours to explain two conflicting seating maps for BTS’s three stadium shows. Live Nation Brazil says the dates, sectors and sales map are unchanged, and our BTS in São Paulo page tracks the run-up.

A plan in the city’s Official Gazette showed two standing areas, Pit 1 and Pit 2, that the ticket map did not. The shows are on 28, 30 and 31 October at MorumBIS stadium.

Why we show this: prediction markets turn real-money bets into a live probability that moves within minutes of the news, which is why investors, campaigns and newsrooms in the United States now follow them closely. We show them next to polls and official results, never instead of them.

In plain English

The “Pit” is a standing area close to the stage. Fans want to know whether the seating plan the city approved matches the one used to sell tickets. A state prosecutor who protects consumers has asked for an explanation.

What the Prosecutor Wants to Know

The Consumer Prosecutor’s Office of São Paulo’s Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPSP) opened a consumer-protection inquiry this week. It gave the municipal government, Ticketmaster Brasil and Live Nation Brazil 48 hours to respond.

The prosecutor asked the city’s Secretariat of Urbanism and Licensing to explain the difference and to provide the definitive plan submitted for municipal approval. Pit 1 and Pit 2 hold 545 people each, or 1,090 places in total.

Live Nation Brazil said the concert configuration would not change and would follow the format used for other South American tour dates. It has not, in the reports we reviewed, explained why the Pit areas appear in the Gazette plan.

Show Times and the Money at Stake

For each show, gates open at 16:00 São Paulo time (3:00 p.m. ET) and the concert starts at 20:00 (7:00 p.m. ET). São Paulo is one hour ahead of US Eastern time until the US clocks change on 1 November.

Tickets sold out in a little over an hour in April, and in the two-day pre-sale more than 630,000 people joined the queue for over 1.2 million tickets. That demand shows why any doubt about the seating plan draws attention.

São Paulo’s tourism and events company, SPTuris, estimates gross ticket revenue of nearly R$260 million (about US$52 million). It puts visitor spending at about R$75 million (about US$14.9 million), based on more than 50,000 out-of-town visitors spending an average of R$1,500 (about US$298) each, and total economic impact above R$330 million (about US$65 million).

Conversions use the Brazilian central bank’s PTAX rate of about R$5.04 per US$ on 22 October.

Pop-Up Store and Cinema Screening

An official BTS pop-up store opened on 22 October at MIS Experience, Rua Cenno Sbrighi 250, in the Água Branca district. It runs until 22 November, generally from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. São Paulo time, with a noon opening on Sunday 25 October.

Visits need advance booking on the BTS POP-UP LATAM platform, and visitors must complete identity verification. The 30 October concert is also scheduled for a cinema livestream.

What It Means for US Readers

Fans travelling from the United States should expect the three shows to go ahead on 28, 30 and 31 October at the times above. The inquiry does not, so far, change the schedule or ticket validity, according to the organisers.

If you hold a ticket, check the sector printed on it against the official map before you travel. Book the pop-up slot in advance if you plan to visit.

What Is Not Known

It is not known whether the prosecutor will find that the conflicting maps harmed buyers or order any remedy. It is also unclear why the Gazette plan included Pit 1 and Pit 2 when those places were not on sale, or whether the city, Ticketmaster and Live Nation will make their answers public.

The number of police officers and the expected traffic effects on show days have not been published in the reports we reviewed.
