Lô Borges @ Theatro NET Rio (Copacabana) – Come see Brazilian music legend Lô Borges launch his latest album “Rio Da Lua” (Deck), his fifth album of the twenty-first century, tonight at Theatro Net Rio in Copacabana.
You’ll be hearing for the first time songs from an album composed in partnership with Nelson Angelo, who has known Borges since the days of Clube da Esquina; however, this is their first collaboration in forty years.
Tickets are available from R$45 and the night starts at 9 PM.

La Fiesta! @ New Mariuzinn (Copacabana) – For a bit of midweek excitement, head to La Fiesta!, the party that is in love with Latin culture.
You’ll have your pick of songs to dance to, from salsa and reggaeton to cumbia, and bachata courtesy of DJ Cauê Campean. And in true latin style there are double measures all night long and free beer and caipirinhas from 10 PM until midnight (for two hours!).
Tickets are between R$40 – R$50 and the night starts at 10 PM.

Arte Do Encontro @ 39d. Studios (Botafogo) – If you’re looking for an intimate evening of acoustic music, then Arte do Encontro is for you.
Tonight, it’s the turn of Gab Mariquito, a singer-songwriter who will be performing the best new MPB sounds. New band Tatubeleza will also be playing, and there’s an open mic session for any budding singers or musicians out there.
This event starts at 7 PM and there’s a suggested donation of anything between R$10-R$20.

Run by two Italian expats, Momus is worth the visit for its interior design alone. Among this fancy bar’s highlights are its classic Bloody Mary (R$27), Pisco Sour (R$28), and Negroni (R$28).

Flashback (Ipanema)
Flashback is a high-end restaurant with plenty of classical music and photos decorating the walls. Tonight, between 7 PM and 9 PM, the restaurant will offer a happy hour with two-for-one on caipivodkas and Stella Artois. The caipivodkas are made fresh with lime, strawberries, or passionfruit as well as additional herbs for extra taste.
