Thursday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – The Girls Night Out party returns to New Mariuzinn Copacabana with DJs Guga Fernandes and Bruno Lima spinning the best of house, deep house, trap, hip hop, funk chic, Latin Rhythms and World Music.

There will also be a premium open bar for women until 12AM and caipirinhas will be free until 12AM.

Additional promotions will include two-for-one specials on beer, caipirinhas and Cuba Libre all night long.

Tonight musician, drummer and percussionist Paal Nilssen-Love will perform live at Audio Rebel in Botafogo. Musicians Cadu Tenorio, and Alex Zhemchuzhnikov will jion Nilsssen-Love during the show.

The Veneno party is back at Casa da Matriz in Botafogo tonight. For over ten years the weekly events, filled with good music and beautiful people, have helped start weekends early in Rio. Tonight will be no exception as DJs Sal and DJ Mariana Pinet will spin the best of rock and pop on the first floor. Additionally the Veneno Disco Club will return to second floor during the night. Promotions during the party will include two-for-one specials on caipirinhas and caipivodkas until 1AM and long neck Budweisers will be R$7.50 all night.

Dose Dupla @ Cabaret Lounge (Botafogo)
Cabaret Lounge in Botafogo will host the Dose Dupla party tonight. DJ Luciano Jacaré will spin the best of pop rock, hip hop, and house music and promotions will include two-for-one specials on Heineken and glasses of sparkling wine from 6:30 PM to 9:30PM.

Tonight Bem Brasil Entretenimento will once again present the Girls Night Out party at the New Mariuzinn Copacabana. From 11PM until 12AM, there will be an open bar for women with SKYY vodka, beer, tropical drinks, sparkling wine, soda, water caipirinha, and additional mixed drinks including Sex on the Beach, Blue Lagoon, ScrewDriver, Cuba Libre. Caipirinhas will be free for men until 12AM. During the party, DJ Guga Fernandes will spin the best of house, deep house, trap, hip hop, funk chic, Latin Rhythms and World Music.

Beginning at 7:30 PM at Rio Scenarium, the group Quintal do Céu will perform the best of classic samba including their reinterpretations of works by Cartola, João Nogueira, Nelson Cavaquinho, Chico Buarque, D. Ivone Lara, Adoniram Barbosa, Ivan Lins, Djavan, Tom Jobim, Vinícius de Moraes, and Toquinho, among others. The group Arruda will follow at 10:30 PM with more lively samba.

Salsa and Forró Leviano (Lapa)
The Salsa and Forró party is back at Lapa’s Leviano bar tonight and that means it’s time to dance. The group Mano a Mano will start things off at 8PM on the first floor with their reinterpretations of works by Hector Lavoe, Willie Colón, Rubén Bládes, Ismael Rivera, Eddie Palmieri and Buena Vista Social Clube. On the second floor during the night, the group Xaxado Novo will perform the best forró. Additionally, DJ Angolano will spin salsa and DJ Darvyn Orlan will spin forró during show intervals.
