Israel Aerospace Industries Taps Indian Innovation

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has launched a bold initiative to harness India’s technological prowess. The NeuSPHERE Innovation Acceleration Program aims to collaborate with Indian deep-tech startups.

IAI’s decision to launch NeuSPHERE in India is not surprising. The country boasts over 1,600 deep-tech startups with a market size of $14 billion.

India’s startup ecosystem has shown remarkable growth, producing over 100 unicorns in recent years. The program’s launch comes at a time when IAI is experiencing strong financial performance.

The company reported a 74% increase in net income and a record order backlog of $25 billion. This financial strength allows IAI to invest in future technologies and global partnerships.

IAI’s engagement with India goes beyond the startup ecosystem. The company has existing collaborations with Indian government entities and private firms.

In addition, it recently signed an MoU with Bharat Electronics for short-range air defense systems. The NeuSPHERE program is part of IAI’s broader global innovation strategy.

The company already operates an innovation center in Israel and launched a similar program in the United States earlier this year. India is the second country outside Israel to host this initiative.
