Global giant Kraft Heinz opens its operations center for the South American market in Chile

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Kraft Heinz is determined to continue growing in South America. For that reason, it decided to install its offices in the country that concentrates 70% of its sales in the subcontinent (excluding Brazil): Chile. From its recently inaugurated offices in Santiago‘s neighborhood El Golf, it will operate its business in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Colombia, and Ecuador.

Thus, the national offices join the other three business units of the multinational in Latin America, together with Brazil, Mexico, and the Caribbean Community (Caricom). According to the company, this growth “is not only a true reflection of consumer confidence in our brands but also in the human team, which has increased four times its size since 2020”.

Based on the above, it was decided to start searching for new offices in the national capital, where “the new space has an open floor plan and free positions to encourage collaborative work and communication, which is part of the company’s culture worldwide,” as detailed.

Xabier Aramburu, Commercial Manager of Kraft Heinz in Chile, assures that “the creation of South America as a new business unit is an excellent sign. The decision to make Chile the center of operations reflects sustained growth and greater confidence in the long term”.

Kraft Heinz’s ties with Chile have been strengthening in recent times. The company highlights that “from the marketing side, in 2021 they carried out the first campaign born from Chile that became global: the Heinz Ketchup Burger. It was carried out in 20 countries and was highly awarded in the ACHAP awards, winning six golds and three grand Prix”.

The company also allied with the Inspiring Girls foundation, where six volunteers from the company participated in talks with school-age girls. They shared their experience to increase the self-esteem and professional ambition of the girls.

“After this volunteering, where we impacted approximately 150 girls, the Foundation awarded us the ‘Company that Inspires’ prize. Two of our volunteers received it at the ‘Inspiring Night’ gala held by the Foundation. All this meant that we ended the year 2021 very motivated and ready to start 2022 with an optimistic outlook and full of new challenges for Chile and the whole region,” emphasizes Aramburu.
