The Fontaines D.C. Mexico City dates fall on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 March 2027, about a month before the Irish band’s US tour.

Both nights are at the Pepsi Center WTC, and promoter OCESA’s release of Friday 2 October confirmed the extra Wednesday show. Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster México and the venue box office.

Who Fontaines D.C. Are and Why These Shows Matter

Fontaines D.C. formed in Dublin in 2014, and the initials in the name stand for Dublin City. The band added them after learning that a Los Angeles group already used the name The Fontaines.

Singer Grian Chatten fronts the five-piece with guitarists Carlos O’Connell and Conor Curley, bassist Conor Deegan and drummer Tom Coll. Their 2022 album Skinty Fia reached number one in the UK and Ireland.

The 2024 album Romance gave them a first entry on the US Billboard 200 and two Grammy nominations. The nods were for Best Rock Album and, with Starburster, Best Alternative Music Performance.

US viewers may know Starburster as the theme of the Paramount+ series MobLand. In 2025 the band won International Group of the Year at the BRIT Awards, Britain’s main music prizes.

The fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, comes out on Friday 16 October 2026 on XL Recordings, produced by James Ford. It carries the band’s first guest feature, a duet with Spanish singer Rosalía called Where Is Gone?

On stage the band now adds samples, triggers and some songs with no guitars at all, according to OCESA.

On the band’s own tour listing, the Fontaines D.C. Mexico shows are its first in the Americas after the album’s release.

The Venue and How to Get There

The Pepsi Center WTC is an indoor concert hall inside the World Trade Center complex, on Dakota street in the Nápoles district. The complex began life as the Hotel de México skyscraper and is now mainly a convention centre.

Nápoles lies south of Roma and Condesa, the neighbourhoods popular with foreign residents and remote workers. For a sense of costs there, see Mexico City’s rising rents in Roma and Condesa.

The easiest way to the Fontaines D.C. Mexico shows is Metrobús Line 1, the bus rapid transit line along Avenida de los Insurgentes.

The city’s official tourism site calls Line 1 the main route to Roma, Condesa and the World Trade Center.

Its Poliforum station stops metres from the complex’s main pedestrian entrance. The stop sits right outside the Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros, an arts centre that is part of the complex.

A ride costs 6 pesos (US$0.33). Riders tap a contactless bank card or the city’s Integrated Mobility Card, sold for 15 pesos (US$0.83) at station machines.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays the buses run until midnight, according to the city’s tourism site and the newspaper El Financiero. For a late finish, plan a ride-hailing app or an authorised taxi home.

For another recent booking at the same hall, see Tove Lo’s Mexico City date on 1 October.

Tips for US and Foreign Visitors

US citizens need a passport valid on entry, but no visa for stays of up to 180 days, the State Department says. Air travellers get a digital entry permit, the FMM, and a passport stamp on arrival.

The State Department’s Mexico advisory, last issued on Friday 29 May 2026, rates Mexico City at Level 2 of 4. Its entry for the capital reads “exercise increased caution due to terrorism and crime”.

In practice, keep phones out of sight in crowds and agree on a meeting point before the show.

Mexico City sits at about 2,240 metres (7,350 feet), the same thin air that shapes the Mexico City Grand Prix 2026. If the altitude bothers you, the city’s tourism site advises drinking extra water and avoiding alcohol.

Ticketmaster México charges in pesos, and US cards may add a foreign transaction fee. As a guide, 1,000 pesos equals about US$55 at the 6 October 2026 rate of 18.11 pesos to the US dollar.

Buy only through Ticketmaster México or the Pepsi Center box office. Tickets offered on social media or outside the venue may be fake or already used.

Between 6 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. the Metrobús is at its busiest, the city’s tourism site says. Both shows fall on weekdays, so leave extra time whether you ride the bus or travel by car.

What Is Not Confirmed Yet

OCESA’s announcements give no door time, start time or support act. Mexican music site LifeBoxset, citing Ticketmaster México, lists an 8 p.m. start for both nights.

The same site says Ticketmaster lists Mexican rock band Rey Pila on the bill for both nights. The promoter has not confirmed that line-up in its own releases.

OCESA has not published a price list for the Fontaines D.C. Mexico shows either; section prices appear on Ticketmaster México at checkout.

Mexican music site Sopitas reported on Thursday 1 October that the 25 March show sold out within minutes of a fan presale. Check Ticketmaster México for current availability on both nights.

The band’s tour listing shows no other Latin American dates so far.

Its US run starts in Boston on Friday 23 April 2027, with most dates on sale from Friday 9 October 2026.

What Comes Next

Dopamine Chamber arrives on Friday 16 October. The band then plays European arenas from Lisbon on Wednesday 21 October to London on Friday 27 November.

Dates in India, Japan, Australia and New Zealand follow in early 2027, before the band lands in Mexico City in late March.

For anyone planning the Fontaines D.C. Mexico trip, the next step is simple: pick a night, check Ticketmaster México and book flights early.
