Crypto Market Falters as Global Liquidity Tightens and Traders Retreat

Bitcoin fell to $115,700 by the end of July 2025, according to official trading sources, dropping nearly 2% in one day. Ethereum dropped almost 3% to about $3,697.

Most large altcoins, such as XRP, Solana, and Litecoin, fell between 5% and 7%. Total crypto market value shrank by about $250 billion in 24 hours, with evidence of broad selling and profit-taking.

The root of the slide lay in a rapid shift in global investor mood. Global liquidity, tracked in yellow on recent charts, moved sharply lower. This downturn meant less cash for high-risk investments, including cryptocurrencies.

Professional traders and liquidity providers responded by cutting risk and staying on the sidelines, deepening the price drop. Risk-off pressure came from renewed global tariff worries and uncertainty over upcoming economic reports.

The MACD indicator crossed into negative territory, and RSI slipped toward oversold, making clear that momentum had shifted to the bears. Bollinger Bands widened as prices touched the lower band, marking a clear surge in volatility.

There were no signs of a fundamental crisis within major crypto projects or blockchains. The losses were driven by global financial anxiety and asset rotation, not by hacks or protocol failures.

ETF inflows and outflows continue to set the tone for short-term price moves, with public companies quietly accumulating Bitcoin in the background.

For observers outside the country, the real story is simple: as market-wide liquidity dried up and big players hit pause, even resilient assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum struggled.

The coming days will show if buyers treat this dip as a new buying opportunity, or if fears about the global economy keep growing and drive crypto lower. For now, the world’s digital asset markets face serious headwinds and caution rules the day.
