Brazil: the stock market follows the dollar and ends the day in a downward trend
Ibovespa, the main index of the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3), ended the session this Thursday, 13, down 0.4%, at 106,000 points.
Likewise, the dollar had a bad performance and ended the trading session down by 0.3%, quoted at R$4.92.
The stock market was affected by the drop in iron ore prices and the results of the Brazilian meatpackers.

Vale, one of the leading companies of the B3, impacted Ibovespa’s performance.
The impact on the US currency came after the release of inflation data in the United States and positive export figures in China.
The drop in US inflation is directly linked to the increase in unemployment claims, which were higher than expected by experts.
Data from the German and British economies were also part of the day’s results.
Both countries’ inflation slowed to 0.8% and 0.4%, respectively.
Linked to this, the UK’s GDP rose by only 0.1% in the three months to February.
