Brazil on Track for Soybean Meal Export Milestone
This July, Brazil is poised to reach a historic milestone in soybean meal exports, projecting an unprecedented 2.40 million tons.
This figure marks a significant rise from the previous record of 2.27 million tons in May 2023.
Anec raised its forecast from 2.23 million tons, affirming Brazil’s role as a major global competitor alongside Argentina.
From the start of the year to June, Brazil’s soybean meal exports summed up to 11.4 million tons.
This total shows an increase from the 10.7 million tons exported in the same timeframe last year.
According to the National Supply Company (Conab), a strong demand from Asia has driven this growth.

Despite the trend, China’s substantial purchases of raw soybeans for local processing affirm its position as the leading global soybean importer.
If July’s figures hold, Brazil will see an 11% rise in soybean meal exports from last year.
This reflects a monthly rise of over 400,000 tons, with Anec’s July soy export forecast at 10.43 million tons, just under the initial 10.71 million.
Brazil on Track for Soybean Meal Export Milestone
Corn shipments are adjusting up to 4.56 million tons from an earlier 4.51 million, still below last year’s 5.9 million tons during a record harvest.
This expansion in soybean meal exports significantly enhances Brazil’s international market presence and contributes to economic stability.
It reflects broader agricultural trends and the strategic importance of soybean meal in global trade.
These trends underscore Brazil’s adeptness in adapting to global market demands and its critical role in supporting the food needs of a growing global population.
